Dining: our favorite restaurants for dinner are La Luna (beachfront), Pacifico Azul (great fish dishes) and Coyol (up in the mountains)
The climate varies between the wet season (May to November) and the dry season (December to April). During the wet season, which peaks in September and October, rainfall is more frequent and intense.
The town is located in the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica, which is considered one of the world’s Blue Zones. Blue Zones are regions where people tend to live longer, healthier lives compared to the global average.
Overall, the lifestyle, diet, and close-knit community in the Nicoya Peninsula are believed to contribute to the well-being and longevity of its inhabitants.
As one of the oldest expatriate communities in Costa Rica, Nosara is known for its fishing and agricultural areas. In the mid-20th century, Nosara began attracting surfers and nature enthusiasts, leading to its development as a popular eco-tourism and wellness destination.
